  • Breast Surgery

Breast Surgery involves assessing the risk of breast cancer, determining necessary screening programs, diagnosing patients with abnormal findings in imaging tests, and identifying and implementing treatment options. In our Breast Surgery clinic at Denizli Private Health Hospital, we not only address breast cancer but also provide treatment for benign masses, infections, and complaints of breast pain.

  • Obesity Surgery

Since each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, choosing the most suitable approach for a patient involves considering their expectations and the causes of obesity. The treatment in obesity surgery is divided into restrictive methods and malabsorptive methods (bypass, diversion). There is a third group of procedures that combine both characteristics. Adjustable gastric banding (gastric band) and sleeve gastrectomy (gastric sleeve) fall under restrictive methods, regulating food intake. In the past, these surgeries, which could be performed on a limited number of patients and were conducted openly, are now more frequently applied due to the increasing prevalence of obesity. With the advancement of laparoscopic surgery, obesity surgeries can now be performed minimally invasively, and even through a single incision in the abdomen.

  • Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally invasive surgery is performed through small incisions (0.5-1 cm) in the anterior abdominal wall, where a camera and surgical instruments are inserted. It is a widely used method in various fields, from hernia repair to heart surgeries, and follows the basic principles of open surgery. The most significant difference between the two techniques is that minimally invasive procedures are performed through small incisions using a camera and surgical instruments. The most commonly performed minimally invasive surgical procedure today is laparoscopic cholecystectomy, also known as laparoscopic gallbladder removal. However, many general surgical procedures, including hernia repair, appendectomy, reflux, and hiatal hernia surgeries, are performed laparoscopically. In addition, laparoscopic surgery is employed in cases requiring the removal of the spleen or adrenal glands, as well as in colorectal cancer surgeries. Minimal invasive techniques are also utilized in neurosurgery, gynecological surgery, orthopedic surgery, urological surgery, and cardiovascular surgery.
